what's weirder, the fact that there was an earthquake here, in texas, last night?  or that that's not even the craziest thing i've heard all day?

so like i said, there was an earthquake here last night.  an earthquake.  here.  in texas.  i remember feeling it and if i hadn't read the next day that it was an actual, real-life earthquake i would have gone on thinking it was a trailer full of empty beer kegs or bowling balls taking a turn too fast and rolling over onto its side about a half a block away.  there were actually two small quakes, one in grand prairie (which i felt) and one a half hour or so later in irving (which i didn't).  some suspect the cause has something to do with all the natural gas drilling going on here lately, but i think we all know it's cause God's pissed wade phillips is still coaching the cowboys.

that isn't even the most earth-shaking thing in the news today though.  no, that'd have to be fox saying that they're cancelling king of the hill.  they tried doing that a couple years ago and changed their minds once they realized they didn't have anything half as good to replace it, which makes me wonder, what could they possibly have right now?  the only other comedies on fox i can name are the simpsons, family guy, and american dad.  i've never really been into either of the latter two and i know it'll be blasphemy to some, but for the last five or six years i've liked king of the hill better than the simpsons.

whatever i guess.  though it was probably smart on their part to wait until after hank's dad cotton died to cancel the show.  if he was willing to swim to cuba to kill castro, who knows what he might have done to fox execs?
